Japanese: how it sounds

Postby Mican » May 1st, 2008 12:48 pm

To me, Japanese is the most beautiful language in the world. It literally sounds like a song even when spoken in a normal tone. That's probably the biggest reason why I wanted to learn it, especially since I'm a very sound-oriented person (vocal major here). Anyone else feel the same?

It's definitely one of the nicer sounding languages, if not the most, at least when spoken by women :kokoro: If only I could understand more of what they were saying without my cursed dictionary :(

I think it sounds nice...but also sometimes scary! It's probably the image I have of Japan being a stricter society but I would rather be shouted at by an English-speaking teacher than a Japanese teacher!

Agreed. Japanese much less abrasive, and I when I first started learning it, I thought the guys in animes sounded kind of "bad-ass" when they talked.

It's definitely one of the cooler languages out there.
*tap tap* Is this thing on?

Yeah, I agree that Japanese can flow quite well. Spanish too.
