podcast subscription problem

Postby michan » June 5th, 2006 2:23 pm

i'm new to this whole podcast thing. i don't have an ipod or itunes, but i wanted to be able to download the audio files to play on my mp3 player. so i downloaded yahoo music engine, but the newest epidsode that it lists is from april! is this normal (doesn't seem practical)? or can you recommend a better software to download the audio if you don't have an ipod/itunes.
thanks!

Well you could just download it directly from the website.

Yes. On the main site there are direct download links for the audio file(s) for each lesson.

thanks for answering my questions!! but...i'm feeling really dumb now. i swear, i'm not computer illiterate, but all i see on the main page is and 'audio' link (which opens the audio on another page), 'play now' and 'play in popup'.

is there a way to save the file from there?

If you're using a PC you can 'Right-Click' on the Audio Link and select "Save Target As". This will save the mp3 file on your local hard drive. Please let me know if you're using a Mac and I'll provide directions for that as well.
