The sentence pattern for describing a part of something was covered in today's newbie lesson, and likes/dislikes were covered quite recently too, so be sure to check them out.
A little note about the sentence pattern: as an English speaker, for a sentence like 'Naomi has a lovely voice' it seems natural to construct sentences like:
Naomi-san wa kirei na koe ga aru.
Naomi-san no koe ga kirei da.
But like with Joey's examples, the natural way to express this is with an '
A wa
B ga
C' sentence.
A is the topic (Naomi), marked with wa,
B is the part of the topic you wish to describe (her voice), marked with ga, and
C is the description (is lovely), which expresses something about
B.
Naomi-san wa
koe ga
kirei da.
It took me a while to realise how important and frequenty used this pattern is, so if my explanation isn't clear, be sure to check out the lessons I mentioned
