Very good website to learn Japanese grammar

Postby watermen » January 12th, 2008 10:56 pm

I found this website, probably the best website to learn Japanese grammar, especially for those who finished all newbie and beginner series and who want to refresh you grammar.

http://www.gwu.edu/~eall/vjg/vjghomepage/vjghome.htm

This website is not suitable for newbie....it is best suited for people who have already finished all the beginner lessons here.

I really have to give a lot of credit to this website, they really did a fantastic job. I have finished so many lessons in Jpod101, but I forgot a lot of the grammar, I try to review all the lessons again, but that is just too slow and I tend to forget again.

This website which just focus on grammar really help me a lot, I believe it will help everyone of you too.

To Jpod101: May be you all can consider doing an animation like this just for revising the grammar you all taught.

Awesome site. From what I looked at it does a great job of explaining some oft-confused topics, particularly the usage of wa and ga.

Other sites:

http://www.jgram.org/ (not always, though usually, reliable)
http://www.nihongo2.com/ (a goldmine if you can handle it)

That first site is packed full of stuff, I think I'll add it to my to-do list along with the eight or so textbooks I haven't finished reading :P

I just ordered some things from White Rabbit Press that I'm looking forward to reading. It has loads of great stuff for all levels, so I think everyone could find something useful http://www.whiterabbitpress.com/home.php?sl=US&js=n

The Nihongo Journal looks especially good; it's full of all sorts of news, language, and culture, and even comes with a CD. There are four samples on the website http://www.whiterabbitpress.com/product.php?productid=16180&cat=0&page=1&featured

I know this goes a off topic... but you're a machine, you know that, Javizy? I have a friend who bought a set of their kanji flashcards. High, high quality stuff. Would have probably bought a set myself if I hadn't already handwritten almost 3,000 of my own.
