My Japanese friends and other aquaintences will always try to finish my sentence or instantly correct me when I'm trying to speak Japanese. It's bad enough that I have to stop and think of what I want to say, but then add on someone doing either of these?!? It's to the point of why even bother speaking when someone's going to do it for you. I'm not around these people to be my teachers, and I certainly don't interrupt them when they are trying to speak English.
It's bad enough my own mother does this to me in our native English, and I'm trying to get her to stop. How do you tell these people that I don't want their help, and to allow me to finish my thought first?

He's a hoot to talk to, and now if I can get him to understand when you to use "a" and "the" and when you don't.
Last time I talked to him was via webcam for 3 hours about 開く、and 開ける, vegetables, and fruits. Yeah I know, simple topics, but it got us talking in each other's language!! We both like ザクロ, and Newbie lesson #13 helped me with the kanji he was using.
It's fun when you learned something from Jpod101 and can finally use it in the real world!!
