but for example, today's lesson "Intermediate Lesson #76 - Overweight Luggage 1" took about 2-3 hours to write (not including all the pre-writing preparation, such as determining grammar points, vocabulary, scheduling, etc). it took 2-3 hours to write the pdf.
the voice actors are recorded in 2 hour blocks every other week, so it's hard to put a number on it. the lesson portions are recorded in 2-4 hour blocks every few days, there is also prep time before recording for the hosts to familiarize themselves with the grammar points, story, and related items).
the editing process probably took a total of 3-4 hours, including tagging, converting, uploading, etc... all of this took place over a 1 month period.
after a lesson goes out, i usually watch the forum and lesson thread on my own time. i also spend a lot of time going around tokyo recording sounds for the backgrounds (traffic, crowds, restaurants, etc...).
the intros also take time to write, record and edit, and those are usually done in my free time, so it's difficult to quantify.
people directly involved: take, mayumi, yuki, naomi, natsuko, peter and myself.
i think people are pretty surprised when i tell them how much work goes into a single 10-15 minute lesson!
