erm.. i'm not sure if there's a kanji word for "gabriel". i don't think there's one but i could be wrong.

but in katakana, it would be like this,
ガブリエル
that's ga-bu-ri-e-ru

the bu-ri part is pronounced pretty quickly together so it sounds like "bree" instead of "bu-ree"

edit:
i think it could also be ゲブリエル if pronounced as "gay-bri-el".

if it's pronounced as "Bow-Chard", then it's ボゥチャド

if it's pronounced as "Bow-Shard", then it's ボゥシャド

if it's pronounced as something else, please provide a guide for the pronunciation. =D

you know... it's funny... right after i posted, i was wondering if it was pronounced as "boo"... heh

ブーシャド

that would be your last name, Bouchard. If the "boo" portion is not too long, you can take away the ー.

edit:
in case you wanna give this to a japanese, it's pronounced as
buu-sha-do (hold the "buu" if Bou is stressed)
or
bu-sha-do (short "bu" if the Bou is not stressed)

Domou Arigatou

Is Guillen pronounced as "gi-len" with a hard "G" sound? if it is, it's something like this,
リチェル ギレン

Ben - ベン
Dougen, depends on the pronunciation... if "doug" is like "douglas", then it might look like this, ダゲン.

and then put them together and you get ベン ダゲン

Really? I am more used to Hiragana! Is it because you learnt Katakana first?

yea... that's what most of my friends who knows japanese tell me.. they are more used to, and more familiar with hiragana.

and yea, coz i learned katakana first. =P it seemed much more english-like to me. something i can relate to. and those snes games in the past, their menu and some of their item names are written in katakana as well, as a direct translation from the english word.

that's why now i got a problem with hiragana. but slowly and surely, i've been reading the forums more frequently and trying to catch all the short phrases and trying to memorize the hiragana character and the sound it represents.
