What does this kanji mean?

Postby HeyItsBryan » August 15th, 2007 6:57 pm

My dad bought this t-shirt for me at the Tokyo airport. I don't know a lot of kanji, but I at least want to know what this shirt says. Can anyone be a pal?

Thanks!

Please correct me if I am wrong all you smarter jpodders, but if I remember correctly that is actually two Kanji, that make up the word ichiban, or essentially #1, or first.

It says 一番, ICHIBAN, like henry said. It means, first, #1, and #1 as in the sense of "the best."
