Lesson on Japanese News

I'm an intermediate student who tries to watch Japanese television for practice. Most of the time I can recognize individual words, but I have a hard time getting an over all understanding. I would love to see a lesson on Japanese News. Commonly used phrases, grammar constructions, and some vocabulary would be great. I think that would be very beneficial to people who are just starting to watch Japanese television and are intimidated by how fast it moves.
