ジェーエンさん、こんにちは!

メッセージをありがとうございます。

Regarding your question about the word "頂戴物" (chōdaimono), indeed, "頂戴物" can be translated as "gift". But it is used for a gift from someone else, and it is a polite and respectful term. However, it is a word from old times and is not commonly used in modern times. There are several words that are commonly used for "gift" in Japanese, but you can use the words "頂き物"(itadakimono) for a gift that you receive from someone else and if you want to be very formal. Or "贈り物"('okurimono' formal) or プレゼント(puresento) are commonly used for the meaning of "gift" in general (they can be used for both ways that you give or you receive).

Hope the above clarifies.

こんにちは。私はあなたの迅速な対応に感謝します。事実は、「頂戴物」という言葉がギフトという言葉の同義語としてweblioシソーラスによって私に与えられたということです。残念ながら、私はその言葉のアプリケーションを正しく決定するのに十分な情報を持っていませんでした。 その為、日本語のオンライン辞書の中にもっと膨大なものがあるかどうかを知りたいと思います。

よろしくお願いいたします。

ジェーエンさん、こんにちは!(Jēen-san, konnichiwa! "Hello, Jēen!")

メッセージを読んで、とてもうれしいです!(Mesēji o yonde, totemo ureshii desu! "I'm very happy to read your message!")

ただ、少し修正が必要です。(Tada, sukoshi shūsei ga hitsuyō desu. "However, a little correction is needed.")

言いたいことは「今日はプレゼントの日です。うれしい!」(iitai koto wa 'kyō wa purezento no hi desu. Ureshii!' "What you want to say is 'Today is a gift day. I'm happy!'") ですね?

「頂戴物日です」は少し不自然です。"Chōdaimono hi desu" is a bit unnatural. "Chōdai" means "give me" and "mono" means "thing", but in Japanese, we don't usually use these words together. Instead, we use "purezento" (present) to refer to a gift. So, "purezento no hi" would be a better way to say "gift day" in Japanese.

また何か質問があれば、どんどん聞いてくださいね!(Mata nanika shitsumon ga areba, dondon kiite kudasai ne! "If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!")

頑張ってください! (Ganbatte kudasai! "Keep it up!")

ありがとうございます!
