| そのときになって何があったのか始めてわかった。 |
| It was then that I finally understood what had happened. |
| 俺と中野は車に乗っていて、工事現場に差し掛かった。 |
| Nakano and I had driven our car right into a construction site. |
| すると工事現場のクレーン車が倒れて、自分たちの車を直撃した。 |
| We knocked over a crane and it fell onto the car. |
| 中野は下敷きになって即死だったそうだ。 |
| I was told that Nakano had been crushed beneath the crane and killed instantly. |
| でも、そんなはずは無い。アイツは自分に語りかけていたからだ。 |
| But how could that be? He was talking to me after the crane had hit. |
| 電話が鳴ってる。。。。電話が。。。出なくちゃ。。。。 |

| The hospital room is dim and silent. His medicine begins to take effect and Yuichi falls asleep again. |

| Yuichi picks up the phone. |

| He hangs up the phone and the receiver grows quiet. The electrocardiogram beeps away. |

| Oh, I must have been dreaming again… |
| え、誰？。。。誰かがいる。 |
| His hospital room is wrapped in the same pitch black darkness as the night outside the window. He tries to close his eyes but senses a presence. |
| あたりを見回した。暗い壁のところに中野が立っている。 |
| S… Somebody’s there… |
| あれ、、、中野。。。死んだんじゃなかったっけ。 |
| His eyes dart around the room and land on Nakano standing against a dark wall. |
| 右目の眼球が飛び出て、顔の皮膚が破れてぶら下がって血にまみれてる。 |
| OH, Nakano! I thought you were dead! |
| 中野は僕のベッドにだんだんと近づいてきた。 |
| Nakano’s face is torn apart and covered in blood and his right eye is hanging out of its socket. Nakano approaches Yuichi’s bed. |
| 俺、今、どうなってる？って聞いてきた。 |
| What’s happened to me? |
| え、、、、 |
| Uh… |
| なぁ、俺と一緒に行こうや・・・ |
