INTRODUCTION
Eric: Must-Know Japanese Social Media Phrases Season 1. Lesson 10 - Feeling Disappointed.
Eric: Hi everyone, I'm Eric.
Risa: And I'm Risa.
Eric: In this lesson, you'll learn how to post and leave comments in Japanese about being disappointed. 葉月 (Hazuki) feels disappointed about today's weather, posts an image of it, and leaves this comment:
Risa: 暑すぎる。。。お願いだから、早く秋になって。 (Atsusugiru... Onegai dakara, hayaku aki ni natte.)
Eric: Meaning - "It's too hot today... For God's sake, turn to autumn already, please." Listen to a reading of the post and the comments that follow.

Eric: Let's break this down. First is an expression meaning "It's too hot..."
Risa: 暑すぎる。。。 (Atsusugiru...)
Eric: Japanese people are not the biggest fan of sunlight. If you look at Japanese trend magazines, you will see that having whiter skin is often considered more attractive, and that being tanned is not as attractive as in many western countries. When you visit Japan in summer, you will see a lot of Japanese ladies with a sun umbrella and dark gloves walking down the streets! Listen again- "It's too hot..." is...

Eric: Then comes the phrase - "For God's sake, turn to autumn already, please..."
Risa: お願いだから、早く秋になって。 (Onegai dakara, hayaku aki ni natte.)
Eric: This Japanese expression for "for God's sake" is frequently used when you are desperately in need of something. By writing this line at the beginning of a sentence, you can emphasize that you really need it. Listen again- "For God's sake, turn to autumn already, please." is...
Risa: (SLOW) お願いだから、早く秋になって。 (Onegai dakara, hayaku aki ni natte.) (REGULAR) お願いだから、早く秋になって。 (Onegai dakara, hayaku aki ni natte.)
