James: Adjectives Frequently Used in Slang Expressions
James: Hi everyone, and welcome back to JapanesePod101.com. I'm James.

James: This is Must-Know Japanese Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 15. In this lesson you'll learn adjectives frequently used in slang expressions.
James: We will introduce the most popular slang adjectives. Maybe you have heard of some of them if you've had a chance to converse with Japanese young people.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
James: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Risa: やばい (yabai)
Risa: うざい (uzai)
Risa: きもい (kimoi)
Risa: はずい (hazui)
James: Risa, what's our first expression?
Risa: やばい (yabai)
James: literally meaning "risky." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "bad, awesome, oh my God."
