| This kanji means “bureau, office, department, affair”. |
| The On-reading for this kanji is キョク (kyoku), like in 郵便局 (yūbinkyoku) which means “post office”, and 薬局 (yakkyoku) which means “pharmacy”. |
| 薬局に薬を買いに行く。 (Yakkyoku ni kusuri o kai ni iku.) “Going to the pharmacy to buy medicine.” |
