That's a very practical question! Here's how you can say it:
1. "I'm traveling with my family/friends for vacation." - 私は休暇で家族/友達と一緒に旅行しています。(Watashi wa kyūka de kazoku / tomodachi to issho ni ryokō shiteimasu.)
2. "The people next in line are my family/friends and they are traveling with me." - 次に並んでいる人たちは私の家族/友達で、私と一緒に旅行しています。(Tsugi ni narande iru hitotachi wa watashi no kazoku / tomodachi de, watashi to issho ni ryokō shiteimasu.)
Don't worry too much about it. Japanese immigration officers are usually very understanding and patient. Just practice these phrases and you'll do great!

I have a question
If fly to japan with my family or friends and they don't know japanese or english. how to say that i travel with my family/friends for vaction? or tell the secuatry imagretion that the pepole next in line are my family/friends and there are with me?
i am scared that they wouldn't know what to say or forget if i teach them😅...

Please make more essential videos like these. These types of videos are good for survival. Also, please make more videos for giving directions to a destination. So far, JapanesePod101 have only one video and I feel it's not enough. Perhaps do a video for asking and listening to direction to the toilet.

たいざい means "staying." きかん means "length" or "duration."
Therefore, たいざいきかん is "length of stay."

From what I can tell, たいざい means stay and きかん means a period of time, so it's like the staying period.
I get that this is "たいざいきかん" length of stay? But can we please break it down a bit more?
