Hi, everyone! Welcome to Japanese Top Words. Today, we are going to learn top 10 most common tourist vocabulary. Let’s go!
1. 切符 (kippu) “ticket”
東京駅までの切符を一枚ください。 (Tōkyō-eki made no kippu o ichi-mai kudasai.) “One ticket to Tokyo Station, please.”
2. 旅行者 (ryokōsha) “tourist”
この町には旅行者がたくさんいます。 (Kono machi ni wa ryokōsha ga takusan imasu.) “There are many tourists in this town.”
最近確かに東京でも、 (Saikin tashika ni Tōkyō de mo,) “I frequently see a lot of tourists”
外国の旅行者を(Gaikoku no ryōkōsha o) “coming from abroad”
たくさん見ることが多くなりました。 (takusan miru koto ga ōku narimashita.) “these days in Tokyo, indeed.”
3. ガイドブック (gaidobukku) “guidebook”
ガイドブックを持っていますか? (gaidobukku o motte imasu ka?) “Do you have a guidebook?”
よし、じゃあハワイ行こう。 (Yoshi, jā Hawai Ikō.) “So, let’s go to Hawaii.”
あ、ガイドブック持った?(A, gaidobukku motta?) “Do you have a guidebook?”
え?持ってない? (E? Motte nai?) “What? You don’t?”
4. 観光バス (kankō basu) “tour bus”
観光バスをレンタルしましょう! (Kankō basu o rentaru shimashō.) “Let's rent a tour bus!”
こちらが東京タワーでございます。 (Kochira ga Tōkyō tawā de gozaimasu.) “This is Tokyo Tower.”
あちらが浅草雷門でございます。 (Achira ga Asakusa kaminarimon de gozaimasu.) “That is Asakusa Kaminarimon.”
皆さん、ご覧ください。(Mina-san, go-ran kudasai) “Please look, everyone.”
あちらはカメラでございます。(Achira wa kamera de gozaimasu.) “That is a camera.”
5. お寺 (o-tera) “temple”
多くの人は、お参りをしにお寺に行きます。 (Ōku no hito wa, o-mairi o shi ni o-tera ni ikimasu.) “Many people go to the temple for a prayer.”
6. 教会 (kyōkai) “church”
どこに教会がありますか。 (Doko ni kyōkai ga arimasu ka?) “Where is a church?”

7. 滝 (taki) “waterfall”
あの滝は有名なんでしょ? (Ano taki wa yūmei nan de sho?) “That waterfall is famous, isn't it?”
8. 旅行する (ryokō suru) “to tour”
私は日本を旅行するつもりです。 (Watashi wa nihon o ryokō suru tsumori desu.) “I'm planning to tour Japan.”

9. 宮殿 (kyūden) “palace”
あの宮殿はとても古いです。 (Ano kyūden wa totemo furui desu.) “That palace is very old.”
10. ガイド (gaido) “tour guide”
私はガイドを雇ったことがありません。 (Watashi wa gaido o yatotta koto ga arimasen.) “I've never hired a tour guide.”
