Hi, everyone! Welcome to Japanese Top Words. Today’s theme is top 10 ways to prepare your travel. 行きましょう。 (Ikimashō) “Let’s go.” |
次に参ります、次に参ります。 (Tsugi ni mairimasu, tsugi ni mairimasu.) “We’ll move on.” |
1. 行先を選ぶ (ikisaki o erabu) “to choose your destination” |
う~ん、どこにしようかな…ハワイ!(Ūn, doko ni shiyo kana… Hawai!) “Well, where to… Hawaii!” |
まずは、行先を選びましょう。 (Mazu wa, ikisaki o erabimashō) “First, choose your destination.” |
ハワイがよろしいですか? (Hawai ga yoroshii desu ka?) “Would you like Hawaii?” |
それとも、チリがよろしいですか?(Soretomo, Chiri ga yoroshii desu ka?) “Or would you like Chile?” |
それとも、ガラパゴス諸島でございますか?(Soretomo, Garapagosu shotō de gozaimasu ka?) “Or would you like the Galapagos Islands?” |
2. ガイドブックを買う (gaidobukku o kau) “to buy a guidebook” |
えぇ、ここもいいな、ここもいいな。 (Ee, koko mo ii na, koko mo ii na.) “Oh, this place looks good, this also looks good.” |
うん、ガイドブック見てるの。 (Un, gaidobukku miteru no.) “Yeah, I’m looking at the guidebook.” |
ガイドブックを買った方がいいですよ。 (Gaidobukku o katta hōga iidesu yo.) “It's better to buy a guidebook.” |
3. お金を貯める (o-kane o tameru) “to save money” |
お金をためて、旅行に行きましょう。 (O-kane o tamete, ryokō ni ikimashō.) “Save money and let's go on a trip.” |
搭乗口はこちらでございます。 (Tojo-guchi wa kochira de gozaimasu.) “This way for the boarding gate.” |
いらっしゃいませ。(Irasshaimase.) “Welcome.” |
4. 便を予約する (bin o yoyakusuru) “to book a flight” |
早めに便を予約した方がいいですよ。 (Hayame ni bin o yoyaku shita hō ga ii desu yo.) “It's better to book a flight as soon as possible.” |
It’s better to book a flight as soon as possible because it’s cheaper. |
5. 必要経費を調べる (hitsuyōkēhi o shiraberu) “to research the costs” |
必要経費を調べてみないと、行けるかどうかは分かりません。 (Hitsuyōkeihi o shirabete minai to ikeru ka dō ka wa wakarimasen.) “I don't know if I can go or not until I research the costs.” |
6. 休暇を取る (kyūka o toru) “to request vacation time” |
8月に休暇を取ります。 (Hachi-gatsu ni kyūka o torimasu) “I'll request my vacation in August.” |
7. 宿泊先を予約する (shukuhakusaki o yoyakusuru.) “to book accommodations” |
あ、もしもし。(A, moshimoshi.) “Oh, hello.” |
はい、八月の五日に…はい。(Hai, hachi-gatsu no itsu-ka ni… hai.) “Yes, 8th of August… yes.” |
じゃ、三人でお願いします。 (Ja, san-nin de onegaishimasu) “So, for three, please.” |
ありがとうございます、は~い。 (Arigatō gozaimasu, hāi.) “Thank you very much. See you.” |
宿泊先を予約したので、安心です。 (Shukuhakusaki o yoyakushita node, anshin desu.) “I'm relieved, because I've booked accommodations already.” |
8. 国際運転免許証を取る (kokusaiuntenmenkyoshō o toru) “to obtain an international driving license” |
念のため、国際運転免許証を取っていきます。 (Nen no tame, kokusaiuntenmenkyoshō o totte ikimasu.) “I'll get an international driving license just in case.” |
9. パスポートを更新する (pasupōto o kōshin suru) “to renew your passport” |
来月パスポートを更新します。 (Raigetsu pasupōto o kōshin shimasu.) “I'll renew my passport next month.” |
10. 旅行保険に入る (ryokōhoken ni hairu) “to buy travel insurance” |
旅行保険に入るのを忘れずに。 (Ryokōhoken ni hairuno o wasurezu ni.) “Don't forget to buy travel insurance.” |
