Question:

HAN, as in NI-JI HAN (two thirty, literally two o'clock thirty). I lack a Japanese keyboard!

What does HAN mean? 30 minutes? Like SAN-JUU (thirty, literally three tens)?

Thank you. (Even if you don't answer.)

Hello Asaya-san,

I understand your struggle. The Japanese ""r"" sound can indeed be a bit tricky for non-native speakers. It's pronounced somewhere between an English ""r"" and ""l"" sound.

Here's a tip: try to tap your tongue against the upper part of your mouth, just behind your front teeth, when you pronounce it. It's like a soft 'd' or 'l' sound in English.

I encourage you to keep practicing, as this will help you get more comfortable with the sound. You're doing great, and every effort you make brings you one step closer to fluency!

Keep going! がんばってください! (Ganbatte kudasai! ""Keep it up!"")

ありがとうございます!

Timmy The Dinosaur

If you use a phone/tablet, you can switch your keypad to Japanese in settings I believe. I'm not too sure about computers though, so maybe try searching up a youtube video on it?

Hi Eva,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.😄

The kanji part and the hiragana part should be the same. So we will fix it!👍

Have a great day!

Cheers,

Yoshimi

Hello! I noticed the Kanji part for the sentence " I have an eight-year-old daughter. " does not include the に after the 私

Is this a mistake or is it to show that the sentence can still be correct without saying the に ?

Thank you very much! 😇
