I fail to translate the だいて-part in the subject-mentioned phrase in a grammatical / translational sense. It's about 浦子島太郎, a Japanese folk tale about a young male that saved a bullied tortoise which then, as a thank-you, took him under water on its back to a castle with a beautiful princess.

いただいて is the -te form of 頂く (いただく)

as far as i understand it:

助けていただいて = receiving help
