My real name is Evelina, and as English is not my first language, it's usually pronounced a bit different here - the second e is like the first one (eh-veh-lee-nah). What would be the best spelling in katakana?

I think your name will be エベリーナ in katakana. That's actually Eberiina with "be" rather than "ve". You can also write it エヴェリーナ, where ヴェ represents the "ve" sound.

マイケルさん、
どうもありがとうございます。

Emiko-chan san,
You can choose one of them.
Both エベリーナ and エヴェリーナ are good.

sirfarazhakim8886 san,
konnichiwa. :D
As you know katakana is phonetic so writing depends on pronunciations of words.
If you tell me how to pronounce your name, I will tell you how to write it.
Basically names of overseas’ people are written in katakana however, if you want to write your name in kanji, it’s ok.
I will also tell you suitable kanjis for you.

Faraz Hakim here how to pronounce my name? Just simply put it in English pronounciations Fa ra z or fa raz. Fa is almost like ふあ ra is just like ra in Japanese and z would be converted into sa? Or za? フアラソ is what I came up with please tell me if this is ok or give me your opinion. Also please tell me sutible kanji and meanings so I can chose one I like.

I'd suggest ファラズ, which is three katakana characters. The first one is ファ (pronounced "fa"); it's a compound made of フ and a small ア. The second is ラ (ra) of course. The third is ズ (zu): as a general rule, if you need to end a name with a consonant, choose one of the "u" characters (su, zu, mu, ru, etc) as they're almost always de-voiced.

Faraz Hakim san,
Konnichiwa.
I agree with マイケルさん.
It should beファラズ.

ware020さん、andy silvaさん、
Konnichiwa.
Your name should beアンディ or アンディー and シルヴァ orシルバ.
You can choose them being close to your original name.

thenightt37 san カン ジャンsan,

Konnichiwa.
You don’t need to put a comma between your first name and family name.
Is your name カン or ジャン?

由紀-さん、
No, you got me wrong. It is not my family name. I asked for which one is true or are they both true to write my name(Can) in katakana?
