What does "Bye Bye Cycle" mean?

Hi, I was recently in Japan with a school exchange and we stayed with host girls who taught us to say "Bye Bye Cycle"...and make a hand gesture where you point your thumbs towards each other and then away from each other. I was wondering if anyone knew what it meant?

I was watching a Jdrama and the kids did it on the show, if you want to see what I'm talking about here's the link, it happened about 8:00 into the show.

Well the boys say it and it is obviously a way to say bye and should sound like bye bicicle. I don't think it is weirder than that

It is like if I was going to say bye bye lemonpie because it rhymes.

It could defenetly mean see ya later alligator. It is just a funnier way to say good bye

Oh wow! A japanese friend of mine uses "Bye Bicycle" with his girlfriend all the time.

Also "Good morning Bicycle" and "Hello Bicycle."
