もうええ!!!

Postby 7daytrial » January 16th, 2008 6:04 am

もうええは英語で意味なんですか?

I have heard "mou ii" before and was wondering if "mou ee" is of similar meaning.

Anyone know the meaning??

I'm not sure about もうええ but the phrase もええ came up recently.

Have a look at the "maid bar" series, it comes up there if I'm not mistaken.

It became a catch phrase for Japanesepod101 for a while. I can't explain it very well, and it's explained very well in that lesson, so I'll just let you listen.

ah, もえぇ.

Thanks for the link. That lesson explains it very well.

By the way, I came across the term もええ from watching this clip of 北川景子:

萌えだからだよ!

もういい = もう良い that's enough, enough already!
もうええ i haven't heard this, but in the kansai dialect いい (good) is ええ so might be the same thing as above.

萌え (もえ not もうええ) is the word in the maid cafe lessons.
it's often said stretching out the final vowel sound, so you might see some variations like 萌えぇ or 萌え~!

ねぇ、ねぇ、私前にバンドキャンプでさ…

もういい is the standard Japanese of "That's enough."
もうええ is the Kansaiben variation of it. It means the same thing. :)
