Win XP bootproblem

Postby JockZon » August 15th, 2006 6:29 am

Hello you IT-technicians!

Once again my PC failed me and this time it won't go pas the "Windows is starting up screen"-screen. I have tried everything I know, which isn't much but if there is someone who knows how to help you are welcome to do so because I can't listen to Jpod without it. ^^

Well, I'm not exactly a professional, but i do have some experience with this sort of things. First of all: What was the last thing you did before the error? Have you installed any new software or hardware recently? Or did you notice anything special?

Anyhow, you should be able to accsess you PC and see whif you can find out more by using "safe mode". You do this by pressing F8 just when windows is about to load. This should also allow you to copy your documents in case of a reformat. But perhaps you knew this already?

It's hard to be of any more help without more information about the problem, and what you've tried to do to fix it.
