Writing system charts not working

The writing systems, hiragana, katakana, and kanji are showing up as numbers in a box and will not let me see the quicktime to show me how to write it.

What OS are you using? Do you have Japanese language support installed?
You may also want to try updating to the latest version of Quicktime:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
