Word dictionary

Postby olapointe » November 14th, 2009 9:31 am

The word dictionary has been problematic for me as of late:

Sometimes I type in a word (or words) and the Japanese equivalent(s) appear directly below the word search box on the same web page. The audio clips work and the kanji and kanas show correctly - this is how I believe it should work; however, as of late, the vast majority of word queries direct to another page where the kanji and kanas come up as garble and the audio button doesn't execute...

Is there something I need to do on my computer to rectify this?

I have already successfully installed the standard Japanes input software for windows but do I need to install something more?

Thanks for any help!

The Word Dictionary is also problematic for me.

When I search the dictionary, the kanji/kana lists as garbage (looks a bit like ASCII code or something). Romaji is fine.

I'm using XP with IE8, and have no problems displaying kanji/kana otherwise.
