Typing in Japanese on my new MacBook

Hi,

I just bought a new MacBook and I heard that you can type in Japanese on it without downloading any software. I'd love to be able to do this in order to post on this site in Japanese, as well as write emails in Japanese.

If you know how to do this please let me know!

Welcome to the world of Macs. I've found my US Mac is faster in typing Japanese than the Japanese PC versions.

Guess I'm used to it.
