Making people laugh

I think it would be great if the JPod 101 crew did a Podcast on funny things or jokes people could say to make people laugh. For example, recently I learned a catch phrase from a TV show "Taihou shichau zo!" (I'm gonna arrest you!) Great fun to use in informal situations. I always remember the more fun japanese phrases...so how about more things like this!

There is one phrase that I have used many times in the past to start a conversation and make the other person laugh.

The phrase is.. "kato chan pe" (putting my index and middle fingers over my lips just under my nose).

Well.. it's not really a phrase.. as it doesn't mean anything. It comes from an old comedian and so when japanese people hear it.. they think.. Huh?? why does this gaijin know this. They laugh and then ask me where i learnt it.. and then the conversation starts.

The only person it hasn't worked on.. has been my wife. (she thinks my jokes suck..hehe)
