stroke order for kanji

I don't know if this idea has already been proposed or not, but i think it would be a good idea to provide the proper stoke orders for the kanji characters with the kanji pdfs. Then, no one will be confused as to how to write them. :)

Yes, quite a few people have requested this, and I agree it would be really helpful.

Kanji stroke sites / programs

Meanwhile, there are some great animations available on the Web showing how to write the Kanji. My favorite is:

More limited lists (but animations with brush!) can be found at:

For folks using a PDA, the program PAdict has a nice function giving the order of strokes for a large number of Kanji . Free download from:
http://padict.sourceforge.net/

The associated data base can be found at:
http://taka.sourceforge.net/current/

I agree this would be nice.

I think it would also be useful to have a couple of the most common words that use the kanji given as examples. Has this already been suggested as well?

First Post! :shock: :oops: :? :) :D
If your interested in learning the stroke order to go along with the PDFs provided by JPod I would highly recommend Declan's ReadWrite Kanji for $16. I bought it along with the other software in their Discount Bundle 1 for $60 and it's been a very useful companion to JPod !
