This question is about a runny nose...
It's my understanding that if you are in a restaurant it is considered rude to blow your nose, and it's best to do so in the restroom.
However, what if it's just a runny nose you have through the entire meal from perhaps eating something hot (as in tempurature wise) or on the spicy side (or anything for that matter) where taking a restroom break only offers a few minutes of relief, and then it's return of the runny nose?
I gather eating in the bathroon is not an option.
It's important to me to do things right and not offend people, but what do you do if your nose is running throughout an entire meal?
Is it alright to wipe ones nose while at a table, but if you want or need to actually blow your nose you go to the restroom?
Speaking of runny noses and blowing noses...
Other than restaurants, is it ok to whip out a kleanex if your nose is running to wipe it away or blow it if necessary?
