Need Help Finding English Phone Number For ATM Locations...

Hello,

There is a survival phrase regarding banks and ATM's.

In the lesson, people were going to be given a phone number in English to call in order to find the locations of ATMs in Japan that would accept their cards in order to make it easier and faster to locate them.

However, the phone number was not mentioned in the lesson, so I was wondering if anyone knows what it is.

The first time I went to Japan I was also worried about where to take out cash at ATMs as guidebooks indicated that it might be difficult. However I found the opposite to be the case. There are usually plenty of post offices with ATMs around and you're never far from a 7-11, which always had an ATM that I could use

As an added tip, take out way more cash than you're used to carrying around. Japan is a very safe place and cash is still king for most stores. The only downside is that you may be 15 pounds heavier by the end of the day with all the change that you've started collecting

I am not sure Japan is VERY safe however, yes, especially small shops prefer cash than credit cards in Japan.

The phone number was going to be given to listeners in Beginners Survival Phrases "Bank 2"

I've checked the lesson and the phone number wasn't mentioned in the main audio.

It was just an example of the dialogue and Peter explained as "if you do.."

He said that you don't have to find out the place if you asked them the location of ATMs beforehand on the phone.

I couldn't find the English telephone service but you can search ATMs in hiragana here. http://map.japanpost.jp/pc/?link_id=atmMap
