Cherry Blossom!

Postby jontam » March 11th, 2009 5:51 am

こんにちわ 皆さん!

I am going to Tokyo on March 19 and by chance has read that sakura will start to "open" on March 20! My friend said it will be better to wait until April for full blossom but I can't delay the travel plan. In any case, any suggestion where I should go to see sakura trees? Being a photo maniac, I've love to go somewhere I can take some special pictures......

See: http://japan-guide.com/e/e2011_where.html for a list of good viewing spots. Although keep in mind, as your friend stated March 30th to early April is the best viewing times for the cherry blossoms in Tokyo.

I'll be there in 16 days ! Really looking forward to seeing the blossoms, I missed them on my last trip to Japan.
Hope you have a great time.

For photos... Kyoto. Japan is a photographers dream. I'll probably have RSI in my right index finger from all the photos I plan to take !

I and 3 friends will be in Kyoto this Saturday. We'll have several cameras and tons of pics. Maybe you'll be in one? :D

We're working in Amagasaki and I hope to learn as much as possible while here.'

If I can figure out how I may just do that. Otherwise they will be available on my Myspace page. Our trip to Osaka Castle is already there.
