Help understanding this sentence.

Postby blossomj229275 » January 19th, 2014 3:43 pm

Hi,
I am a user on Lang-8 and I got a correction from someone. I asked for an explanation on one of my corrections and I partially understand the correction. Can someone please help me with understanding what it means?
Here's the correction: 主語が2つあります。
悲しい出来事があったという過去のものだと考え、過去形にしました!!

Let me know soon!

Guess it means
"There are 2 subjects.
Considering those sad events happening in the past, we use the past tense."

Hope this is soon enough.

blossomj229275-san, Teabag-san,
thank you for the translation, Teabag-san! :D :kokoro:

blossomj229275-san, will you maybe give us "how" they chagned with your original sentence?
In this way, we might be able to help you better
(Of course, if Teabag-san's translation was a enough help for this time, there's no need to
add your original sentence and their correction. Only if the similar issue happened in the future,
it'd be better if you give us more info)
