Notes?

Does anyone take handwritten notes when they listen to the lessons? If so, what format do you use? Do you use the tradtional paper/ring flashcards, or notebooks of information? A little of both? I am new, and am trying to find the best way to assimilate and learn as best as possible. I know you can print off the lesson notes, but, I reatin the target information better if I hand write it. I guess I am just curious as to how everyone else studies the written side. Spoken, I do pretty well with so far, I guess from watching too much anime in Japanese. The written, though, I have always had troubles with.

How about printing off the pdf notes then hand copying from them into a notebook? That is what I plan on doing, copying the vocab into a book but also having a file with all my print outs

Hahahaha, hiya Kate! <3 <3 <3<3 <3 I just write the part I want to keep down, usually just the kana with translations in english, no romajii. I was mainly wondering what format folks use. The hubs ok a basic sub?

I'll keep an eye on this topic to see the replies you get, always looking for tips and different perspectives. Just bought some index cards to make flash cards, starting with hiragana for now.

Thread hijack alert - I noticed you posted somewhere about taking a day off from studying, why is that? Right now I want to study everyday!

You'll go into overload if you don't, plus makes it hard to keep perspective on why you started in the first place. Makes it too much like work. Remember crash and burn hun. We don't wanna do that!
