Hi everyone,
Ive come up with this expression lately and I know まさか alone is often translated as 'impossible', 'Could it be...' or 'It can't be...'; but how should I translate it if used like this:
まさかのミステリー
まさかの日記
まさかのTRUE LOVE
Complete sentence>>>>まさかの乱入者が北高1年6組の 女子生徒にして唯一の文芸部員
I take the opportunity to ask for some help with the next sentence too:
きみがいなきゃおわらない
Generally speaking, I know it means something like 'You're the only one' or 'It has to be you' and a simmilar sentence could be きみがいなきゃだめだ, but my doubt is why is the verb 終わる used here.
Thanks
