can sumbody teach me wat they read in tokyo because
i understand what there saying
but i dont understand how to read it
i wanna start off with basics
i dont know how to read it AT ALL
so i wanna start from sctrach
so any takers arigato

Kana is pretty straightforward. Check out about.com for little diagrams showing you the stroke order. As for kanji, I made a post in this thread the other day. Even if you use these up-to-date methods, it's still going to take you around a year to give yourself a base for the most common 1000-ish characters, and that's with consistent study every day.
