Question about onomatopoeia usage...

Postby jaboyak » April 29th, 2009 3:45 pm

I've heard a lot of things from a lot of different people, but I wanted to hear what you guys had to say about it.

Is it kind of weird, or not masculine rather, to hear guys use onomatopoeia? I know it's normal for girls, but I was just curious.

Anyway, I was just curious about the unsaid cultural side about onomatopoeia usage. Thanks for you input ahead of time. ^_^

They are extremely common, and they often express concepts that take a full-on description in English, so they're very useful.
