Hello J-pod-ers

I have a questio nabout using colours....

When is akai used versus aka? Aoi versus ao...

You get my question?

aka and ao are nouns when you are strictly trying to say a color you say this. akai and aoi are adjective used when you want to say something like blue car. essentially when you are describing something else. you can also add the nomilizer no to one of the adjectives to create a state with the nuance of red or blue one. akai no or aoino.
what kind of car would you like? aoi no. blue one. anyway hope this helps.
