lessons have hit near stagnation level

Postby mieth » August 1st, 2008 2:44 am

First of all don't get me wrong. I love Japanese pod and have been listening faithfully for over a year. My gripe is this. For a while now if feels like they are just re-churning the same grammar and vocabulary over and over again without pushing forward. I think it is time to step up the bar and try to get student into the more intermediate and upper intermediate levels respectively. There are already a couple hundred beginner and newbie lessons. Maybe it is time knock the beginner lessons down to only once a week? I don't not trying to complain just an observation.

I agree, and would like to ask when we can expect some JLPT preparation materials (grammar, sample tests and so on) for levels 1 and 2? Many people are planning to take a test this year so we would appreciate very much to get it as soon as possible. Honestly, the main reason for subscription was to get those things and it was said long time ago that material is in preparation, soon will be released.

I also don't have any bad intention, on the contrary Jpod is my favorite site and I enjoy using it whenever find the time, but JLPT 2 requires much harder things so I am thinking of searching for other options.

Thank you Jpod team for great work, let's make it even more useful.

I'm not sure about the other lessons, but I always learn new vocabularies from the upper intermediate and yojijukugo lessons.

But I also would like to see more JLPT Level 1/2 grammar being covered in the upper intermediate lessons.

:D

I just got here.... my 1st day of 7-day trial.

I find this site useful. But it would be better if there is some kind'a more advanced stuff. Like NHK News Listening Practice.

I already in between JLPT 1 and 2. I passed the Level 2 10 years ago and would like to know if Jpod has something stored for people like me.

Basically, the conversation in UPPER INTERMEDIATE helps. But is there more?

The upper intermediate lessons have been covering pretty much all new (to this site) grammar since they became 'upper', so there's nothing to complain about there. The lower intermediate lessons could (should?) definitely be covering something a bit different though, and I've pretty much stopped listening to the newbie and beginner levels.
