Common way to use colors

Postby danieru_s » June 27th, 2007 11:22 pm

I'm a little confused about what is normal, in conversation, when talking about colors. For example, is it more common to say:

"aka to ao no hana" or "akakute aoi hana"

I guess the question is, do you use the i adjective or the noun? Is there a difference in meaning?

Thanks!

赤と青い花 makes me think that you have some red flowers and some blue flowers.
