緑色 (midori iro) is green. It's a noun, so to use it to describe another noun you use の (no). Thus you could say 緑色の姫 where 姫 (hime) is princess. You might want to put the honourific ending 様 (sama) on the end of that. :) [/list]

Thanks. Lastly how would that write out in Romaji? Both versions 緑色の姫 and 緑色の姫様?

The words I put in brackets earlier are the romaji for the kanji, so the information you wanted was actually already there. i.e. 'midori iro' + 'no' + 'hime' + 'sama' = 'midori iro no hime sama'. You could write that as 'midoriiro no himesama' if you like because japanese doesn't have any spaces, so when you write in romaji, spaces are only needed to split up words into manageable chunks. If you don't want the 'sama' bit, then just leave it off.

It's worth pointing out that some colours are adjectives and others are nouns (don't ask me why - I guess it's just historic). Red (akai) is an adjective. If you wanted a 'red princess' then you could write 'akai hime'. There isn't any 'no' between the 'red' and 'princess' in this case. Green (midori iro) is a noun and you have to put 'no' between it and 'princess', i.e. 'midori iro no hime'. This is probably clear as mud right now, but will become clearer as you learn how to use adjectives to describe nouns, and how to use other nouns to describe nouns.

The primary colours plus black and white:
akai (Red) [adjective]
aoi (Blue) [adjective] - NB aoi can also mean green sometimes - confusing isn't it
kiiroi (Yellow) [adjective]
midoriiro (Green) [noun]
kuroi (Black) [adjective]
shiroi (White) [adjective]

Those are the primary colours and are worth learning; obviously there's lots more (brown, purple, orange, pink, grey etc.) and a dictionary will get you the japanese for them.
