as you can all see, my name's marc(yes with a c). i joined this forum as i've just downloaded the entire japanesepod101.com series and have started listening to it.

note 1, do not listen to it whilst trying to sleep, it DOESNT work .

anyway, hopefully you guys will be as kind to me as i will try to be to you. thanks

Welcome, Marc. Hope this site is as helpful to you as it has been to me.

One suggestion...you are free to use any spelling of your name you want, but I would suggest for a closer pronunciation for the Japanese people that you spell it Ma-a-ku, instead of Ma-k-ku. (マーク, instead of マック) since Makku would sound more like the English name Mack.

thanks for the advice sean. and thanks for the warm welcome. i hope this gets easier. its quite hard to remember things, and i couldn't even get the grasp on french lol
