Yes. There are three kikus related to listening/asking.
聞く is the standard. It means "to hear something" in the sense of "sensing noise with the ears".
聴く means "to listen", in the sense of "listening intently/closely to something".
訊く means "to ask". (聞く is also an acceptable writing for "to ask". 聴く is not.)
I think 聞く has pretty much usurped the usage of the other two, and I seriously doubt that young people use 聴く and 訊く very much any more, simply because the kanji are more rarely used and more difficult to draw.
