simple question about this greeting

Postby sheffieldmuse12145 » February 10th, 2012 7:04 am

Alrighty, we have an oral quiz tomorrow and basically we have to introduce ourselves in front of the entire class like its our 1st time. I have the format and pronunciations but I was wondering if I have to keep adding "desu" after every phrase.

Example
Hajimemashite, Roku desu. Watashi wa Amerikajin desu. Daigaku __ desu. Watashi wa (age desu. senkoo wa (major) desu....Dozo Yorishiko Onegaishimas.

Do I have to add desu so many times?

This may be a little but yes you do, at least for know. This is a way to be polite and you need this until you learn the none polite way of speaking ( or when using verbs.)
