Pronouciation and Writing.

Postby photoshopedison5462 » June 4th, 2010 1:38 pm

Hi all,

Recently ,I try to practice my listen and writing skill from any website by listen the speech of Japanese and then write it down by myself. I heard "hakko no isu. (eight chairs) ". In my opionion ,it should be "はっこのいす。" but I see the solution in the website , they wrote "はっのいす。". The other example was about "kappugaikkoarimasu ( 1 cup )", I think it should be カップがいっこあります。but the solution became カップがいっあります。Would you please explain me which one is correct ?

Thanks
Edison :?

I think ikko is written the way you have suggested. I think the example from the website is a typo. Also ikko can be like: 1コ or it can be 一コ。

Without seeing the webpage, I would guess it is a typo.
