Hi there, I again have a problem with "which word is used for what"

there are those words like　増える/減る　上がる/下がる　高まる　太る/やせる

Which do I use for what kind of change?

and how do I use words like 来る, 食べる, 変わる and 作る in those ways?

would following sentences be correct, and if no, why not >_<

この村も都市化は進み、良くも悪くも昔とはすっかり変われってしました。and what does the word with underscore mean

ＥＵに入ってから、食べ物の値段が高まっていた/減ったいた

I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Collocations? There's no real way to get around them without learning them through exposure. Certain words are just used with certain other words, there's no real logic to it. You can see lots of example sentences with the alc dictionary, which might help.

those mentioned words are used for specific groupings of changeable things like in english

The number of new mariages rose by blablabla

Its a bit confusing in japanese, 高まる for instance is this just used when something gets more expansive or also if the growth in seomthing went even higher (funky english sry )

are 増える and 上がる interchangeable? do they mean the same? is 高まる or 太る also use able?

those things confuse the hell out of me and make me waste time on this while not learning the other thing I need to know for my exam -_-;

What I exactly meant was the following

Those Words like fueru heru takamaru all belong to a specific group of things that change.

I think fueru and heru are used when something is measurable but not touchable like temperature
agaru and sagaru for something that is countable like money
takamaru for things that have to do with money

but I am not sure with the usage

No, they all apply to concrete and abstract things, touchable and untouchable, whatever. And to money, talking about different aspects of it.

fueru = increase
heru = decrease
agaru = rise
sagaru = lower
takamaru = rise (heighten)
