I read about "逆ギレ" (getting randomly angry back at a person who was originally angry at you) the other day and I wonder if the "gire" here is the same as in "時間ギレ" (running out of time)? Does "gire" here comes from the same grammar of ~切れ?

The ギレ in 逆ギレ comes from the word キレる, which means to get angry (it looks like the first part of this word is usually written in katakana). The 切れ in 時間切れ comes from the word 切れる, which means to run out or expire. So they come from verbs that sound the same but have two separate meanings. I hope that helps!
