I'm currently working through my 'Let's Learn Hiragana' book and one of the words in my exercise is 'atchi' (over there). It's located in the 'Double Consonant' section of my workbook but I have no idea how to even write it let alone know where the double consonant is. Can someone help me out with this?
It would be あっち in hiragana. I'm guessing the romanization of it is confusing you - I would personally romanize it as "acchi" but you'll see it written both ways.

After a little research it seems like translating from romanji is what's throwing me off, which is unfortunately all 'Let's Learn Hiragana' makes you do.

Just nipping it in the bud (this error happens a lot!), 'roman letters' in Japanese is spelled ローマ字, "roumaji," "roomaji," "rōmaji" or most commonly "romaji." There is no N!
