Question: 「しときてェ」

Postby kepompong » June 17th, 2009 3:07 am

Sorry, I keep popping question all over the place. I hope you guys aren't tired of answering my question. (>_<)

This time I'm confused over this sentence,
思い出作りしときてェだろ

Can anyway please tell me, the meaning of the end structure of the sentence?
It seems like a colloquial way of saying something but I don't what.
This is the first time I've seen it.

思い出作りしときてェだろ

To me it looks like:

しておく

しておきたい (-tai form)

しときたい (-te oku can be shortened to -toku, so in this case it goes from -te okitai to -tokitai)

しときてぇ (-tai becomes -tē in rough male speech)

The little ぇ turning into katakana ェ is just for effect, it looks like.
Let me know if you need any more information on any of those steps!

The meaning would be something like: "You want to make memories, right?"
