i find the differences between the passive sentence and active sentence a little hard
for example in the sentences = Nikki wo yomareta//Nikki wo yonda does the first example mean the diary was read as opposed to i read the diary, and if so what would the difference be if the first example was in the plain (dictionary) form. HONTO NI YAYAKOSHII DAYO NE.
Secondly, in informal speech i often notice the use of te on top of a te form. for example
omottete, damattete, mottete, kitete. i get the impression that the speaker is asking or ordering the listener to do something e.g. kore wo mottete =hold this for me. however this is only an idea im still unsure.also what would this mean if the first te were in the past tense or viceversa (omottate//omottteta).
