learning japanese?

hi, iam 16 and i am currently trying to learn japanese, but i d'ont know where to start,can anybody help me? Ps: i know all the hiragana and katakana) so wat do i do next?

Listen to the podcasts!

Get a good textbook! (I'd recommend Minna no Nihongo.)

Learn some kanji! (I'd recommend using Jame's Heisig's textbook, Remembering the Kanji, but this is slightly controversial.)

Listen to Japanese music, watch Japanese films and telly, play Japanese games, make Japanese friends!

I wish I'd started when I was 16.

Check out this thread. I really recommend the yellow grammar dictionary. I didn't get it until six months in, so if you use it from the start you'll know everything inside out.
